lined with the rest of the field (11 riders) after a decent warm up; the whole
Arizona Devo team was there so the field size was pretty large.
Smith (Whole Athlete Teammate) and I had already worked a strategy out for the
race the day before so we had it pretty dialed.
the AZ Devo guys all took off from the line super fast for some reason…. So
Tony and I just sat mid-pack and attacked on the first little climb. We got a
little gap and just kept pouring it on until we had a sizeable lead, so it was
just Tony and I ripping the downhills and motoring up the climbs. We worked

lead. On the second fire road climb I pushed the pace a bit to get a little bit

held about the same gap on the second lap while trying to get past other
riders, luckily that went pretty smooth. Then on the third lap I picked up the
pace up a little, because I wasn’t quite sure how far
was behind me. Overall I though it was a great race with a super fun course and
the team had a great weekend too! Good work guys!
